Origin
From the foothills, for the world.
Kiara Hut began with a sailor's promise — that the things we carry should outlive the journeys we take. Our founder spent two decades at sea, where leather goods were measured not in seasons but in storms weathered.
In 2000, he returned to the foothills of the Himalayas and opened a single workshop in Dehradun. The vow became a craft. The craft became a house. Today, Kiara Hut — a brand of Kiaraansh Mariners Studio Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in Uttarakhand and recognised under Startup India and MSME, Government of India — supplies leather to global brands, hotels, airlines and maritime fleets, with each piece still cut, stitched and finished by hand.
We do not make leather for the season. We make it for the journey.
The Craft
Slow leather. Lasting goods.
Every Kiara Hut piece begins as a single hide of full-grain leather, sourced from heritage tanneries. From there, it passes through nine stations of hand-finishing — each watched over by an artisan with at least a decade of experience.
